DID_YOU_MEAN

Delete your account

Deletion is permanent. There is no deactivated state and no recovery window — the record is removed, not hidden.

In the app, which is instant

  1. Open Did You Mean.
  2. Go to Profile.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account.
  4. Type DELETE to confirm.

If you have already uninstalled

You do not have an account in the usual sense: there is no email and no password. Your progress is tied to a random identifier your device generated on first launch, and uninstalling discards the device's copy of it. We have no way to work back from a person to an account, so we need that identifier — or something else that points at the same record — to act on a request.

Email info@didyoumean.dev with whichever of these you still have:

Reinstalling does not get the old account back — a fresh identifier is generated, and the app starts from zero. If that is all you wanted, there is nothing left to do.

What deletion removes

Requests by email are handled by a person, so allow a few days. You will get a confirmation once it is done.
